Local benevolent enterprises and the Huashan Foundation Yunlin District have cooperated for the second consecutive year to support the vulnerable and orphaned elderly in Yunlin. In addition to organizing the “One Day Work Day” event with foundation volunteers, the company jointly produced Mid-Autumn Festival handmade pillows for the elderly. It also subscribed for more than 300,000 yuan and 790 Mid-Autumn care gifts, and recently collaborated with foundation volunteers. Employees of the company followed the guidance of volunteers from the Huashan Foundation to work together to make DIY pillows that will be given to the elderly living alone during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Although most people came into contact with needlework for the first time and it was quite difficult to make, they said this activity was very useful. It’s meaningful, and I feel a full sense of accomplishment after completing it.
This is the second year that a local philanthropic enterprise has cooperated with the Huashan Foundation.
